SAS Group News

By Lisa Carter, Media Consultant

Editorial has free reign on being unbalanced, opinionated, and often times emotive, but news reporting is supposed to aim a little higher than that, and strive to standards of objectiveness, fairness and balance.

Just as offices regularly conduct fire drills, it too is essential your crisis communications drill is well-practiced. Too often we see companies reacting (sometimes terribly) to crises with last minute communications plans and panicky spokespeople.

A report handed down by the Parliamentary Joint Standing Committee on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has found ‘gaps’ in service identified during the Scheme’s first nine months of operation.

The report contains information gathered from participants, carers, family members, service providers and disability advocates derived from public hearings undertaken in the Barwon, Hunter, Tasmanian and South Australia trial sites in April and May this year.

The SAS Group is your trusted partner for government, media and corporate engagement.
