Larry takes a pragmatic and hands-on approach, passionately assisting corporate and private clients to achieve success and solve problems.

With over 35 years of experience, Larry has extensive expertise in government, politics, business, and strategy. Before founding The SAS Group, he served as a Federal Minister in the Howard Government, worked as a stockbroker and investment banker with Potter Warburg and Merrill Lynch and held numerous non-executive directorships in both the private and public sector.

Larry has been a leading business advisor for many years, combining his professional career with board appointments for numerous ASX-listed companies (including Macquarie Media) and unlisted companies (such as the Indue, National Credit Union Association and Sunwater). He is the immediate past President of the Federal Nationals and the former Chairman of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia. In acknowledgment of his services, The Duke of Edinburgh, HRH Prince Edward, named Larry the first Life Paton of the Australian Award.

This “school of hard knocks” experience in boardrooms and government enables Larry to effectively solve client problems across various sectors, particularly in resources, energy, agribusiness, property, and non-profits.
