Mitchell has more than a decade of experience working across communications, media relations and politics. During this time, he has applied and honed his skillset across multiple roles in both the private and public sectors.

Prior to rejoining the SAS Group in May 2024, he previously worked for the company for over five years in which he secured media coverage for clients in national and overseas press. He also assisted clients to engage governments at both the state and federal levels for successful outcomes.

Mitchell has served as a senior adviser to politicians and ministers at local, state and federal government. Thereby giving him an acute understanding on how to navigate the corridors of power. He is a former two-term President of the Young LNP and has been active in local candidate campaigns in a volunteer capacity for close to 15 years.

He holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), as well as a dual degree in Journalism/Arts (Political Science).
