Following the resignation of the Hon. Andrew Stoner MP, former Deputy Premier of NSW and Leader of the NSW Nationals last week, there have been several changes to the NSW Cabinet.

This week, the Federal Government announced the release of the New Standards for Training Providers and Regulators, the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network Tender and the Agricultural Competitiveness Green Paper.

The Queensland Government has recently confirmed the privatisation program it will take to the next election. The program includes the long term lease of several government businesses, which amount to around 12% of state government assets.

The Hon. Ian Macfarlane, Minister for Industry and Prime Minister the Hon. Tony Abbott today released the Industry Innovation and Competitiveness Agenda.

The Agenda forms a central part of the Government’s Economic Action Strategy which aims to strengthen Australia’s competitiveness and build a strong, prosperous economy.

The Australian Government today released the Request for Tender for Employment Services 2015-20.

Minister for Employment Senator Eric Abetz said the Government was investing $5.1 billion in a new model to operate from 1 July 2015 "to better meet the needs of job seekers, employers and employment services providers".

Information on the tender and purchasing process is available at www.tenders.gov.au and the tender closes on Monday 17 November 2014.
