Following the Queensland election on Saturday, it remains unclear who will form government.

While voting continues, neither Labor nor the LNP have a majority to govern outright. Three seats are too close to call, but it appears that neither party will receive the required 45 seats to form a majority government.

With only three days to go until the Queensland State Election, SAS Group Director and former Federal Government Minister Larry Anthony analyses the state of play as the parties head to the polls this Saturday.

With just over a week out from the Queensland election, the latest ReachTEL poll has the LNP preference at 42% with Labor at 36.7%.  This represents a 2% improvement in support for the LNP since before the election was called on 6 January.

The Queensland Premier has announced the Queensland election will be held on the 31st of January. The announcement was a surprise, as most commentators expected the election to be held later, towards the middle of the year.
