Progress Report - NDIS
A report handed down by the Parliamentary Joint Standing Committee on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has found ‘gaps’ in service identified during the Scheme’s first nine months of operation.
The report contains information gathered from participants, carers, family members, service providers and disability advocates derived from public hearings undertaken in the Barwon, Hunter, Tasmanian and South Australia trial sites in April and May this year.
Have your say on the Industry Skills Fund

The Federal Government is seeking feedback on the recently released discussion paper on the new $476 million Industry Skills Fund.
The discussion paper outlines various aspects of The Fund including priority areas, eligibility, relevant activities, merit criteria and funding arrangements, and is designed to provide stakeholders with the opportunity to submit feedback on the proposed design and implementation arrangements.
Employment Services 2015-2020

The Federal Department of Employment has released an Exposure Draft of a proposed Request for Tender for Employment Services 2015-2020. The purpose of this document is to obtain comments and feedback that will inform the Request for Tender and process for funding Employment Services 2015-2020.
The Government is investing $5.1 billion over the next three years in the Employment Services. The objectives are to better meet the needs of employers; increase Job Seeker activation by removing the option of passive welfare and introducing stronger Mutual Obligation requirements; increase job outcomes for unemployed Australians with specific targets for Indigenous Job Seekers and reduce service prescription and cut ‘red tape’.
