National Retail Association
The National Retail Association is the voice of modern retail, representing more than 40,000 shop fronts nationwide. They provide representation and public advocacy for their members on matters of public importance to the retail sector.
For more than 10 years, the NRA has trusted the SAS Group to manage its external relations – from government relations to media and strategic communications, advice on member engagement and industry interactions. Our work in that time has included:
- Media and communications management
- Government Relations (federal, state and local)
- Regulatory reform
- Internal change communications
- Issues Management
- Media Training
- Assisting with Inquiry submissions
The SAS Group has worked closely with the NRA to achieve nationwide media coverage across all media platforms on a variety of topics. This has involved identifying issues of public interest, developing story angles that attract media attention, and coordinating with media outlets in a manner that maximises exposure.
By building a higher media profile, the NRA has also enhanced its status as a preeminent industry association that governments of all levels look to engage with. This has allowed the NRA to play a crucial role in shaping public policy and ensuring that retailers’ voices are always heard by those in power.
“The SAS Group has been a trusted partner of the NRA for more than a decade. Their consultants have always been responsive to the needs of our association and provided honest advice focused on achieving outcomes.
We have sought their counsel on matters ranging from media, government relations, and many complex challenges the NRA has confronted over the past decade. The SAS Group has a unique ability to assist an association such as ours to have our voices heard by both those in government and the media.”
