This past week we've seen Delta re-emerge via several clusters that have hit South-East Queensland.
The Palaszczuk Government is receiving criticisms both from people in favour of a lockdown and those against who want the border open and the Delta variant to spread freely.
No one can doubt the government's handling of the pandemic so far has meant that we've enjoyed less days locked down and more freedoms than most states and territories.
We're getting to the most difficult stage of this pandemic in Australia as the Delta variant surges along with our vaccination rates and international borders open.
The political calculus to manoeuvre through the next few months will be most difficult for Queensland and Western Australia who have kept their states relatively COVID free.
