The SAS Group, one of Australia’s leading communications and advocacy firms, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Hindmarsh as its Principal Consultant.

Ben Hindmarsh City BackgroundSAS Group Managing Director Peter Costantini said the company was honoured to have engaged a person with Mr Hindmarsh’s political pedigree and campaigning and management skills.

“Ben is a very significant addition to our ranks, and we are delighted that he has agreed to come on board,” Mr Costantini said.

“He is best known for his work as the Federal Director of The Nationals, managing the party’s day-to-day political operations and providing strategic advice to the Federal Management Committee and Parliamentary Party.

“During his three years in that role, he was also instrumental in preparing and delivering the successful Federal Election campaign, in which The Nationals held all their seats in the face of strong swings against the government in some areas.

“He has also served as a Senior Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister, and as a Ministerial Chief of Staff at both the Commonwealth and State (Victoria) level.

“Ben clearly has a talent for campaigning and advocacy, and is well known and widely respected in the corridors of Canberra.  He will bring very significant value to our clients.”

Mr Hindmarsh said the SAS Group’s culture and values were very much aligned with his own, and he was moving into the new role with great confidence.

“The SAS Group is highly respected in Canberra and around Australia.  Its Principals and Directors are established figures in Australian political and media circles, and the firm is highly regarded for its integrity and the results it achieves for its clients,” he said.

“I look forward to working with those clients and the rest of the SAS team.”
