The Federal Government has paid our almost 13,000 employers to help them keep apprentices and trainees on the job, and the NSW Government announced COVID-19 restrictions will ease this week.

The Queensland Government has secured $500 million in funding for its program of 12-month interest free loans for COVID19-affected businesses.

The South Australian Government has announced supermarkets and other retailers across suburban Adelaide will continue to be permitted to trade extended hours.

MEDIA STATEMENT: The WA roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions

The McGowan Government has released a roadmap to carefully ease COVID-19 restrictions, to start getting Western Australians back to work safely and begin the process of re-starting the State's economy.

The four-phase plan was developed in conjunction with the National Cabinet framework and is based on the best health advice for Western Australia.

MEDIA STATEMENT: COVID Safety Plans key to reopening WA businesses

Businesses across Western Australia will need to prepare a COVID Safety Plan before they re-open, to protect staff and customers.

From next Monday, May 18, under the McGowan Government's roadmap to carefully ease COVID-19 restrictions, cafés and restaurants will be able to offer dine-in meals for up to 20 patrons at a time while meeting social distancing requirements (four square metre rule).

MEDIA STATEMENT: NSW to ease restrictions this week
New South Wales Government

Premier Gladys Berejiklian today announced NSW will further ease COVID-19 restrictions across the State from Friday.

Ms Berejiklian said that after assessing the new framework from National Cabinet and discussing the NSW impacts with state Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant, it was safe for NSW to ease further restrictions as the community was vigilant with social distancing and hygiene.
