Yesterday’s Rural Press Club of Queensland lunch saw over 270 guests come together to discuss the drought and water security for Queensland.
The sold-out lunch included panellists’ Leith Boully, Chair Sunwater, John Cotter, Director Urannah Water Scheme, and Nick Waters, Managing Director Riparian Capital Partners in conversation with ABC Rural’s Arlie Felton-Taylor, who discussed the future of water, infrastructure, pricing and how water utilities and customer demands can best benefit Queensland.
The lunch also hosted Australian Council of Agriculture Journalists and Quadrant Agtours’ 2020 Star Prize for Excellence in Rural Print Journalism. Sally Gall from Queensland Country Life was presented with the award for her powerful pieces on last year’s catastrophic weather event in North-West Queensland. Congratulations, Sally!
As always, the SAS Group look forward to playing a key part in the organisation of this lunch and ensuring the event runs as smoothly as possible.
