On Tuesday 10 July SAS Group CEO Peter Costantini Chaired an IBSA Manufacturing event in Melbourne.

The purpose was to explore how rapid technological change is posing significant challenges to Australian manufacturers and the industry more broadly. Guest speakers included the Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills Karen Andrews, the CEO of Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre Dr Jens Goennemann, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Swinburne University of Technology Prof Aleksander Subic.

While technological change does present new challenges to the manufacturing industry, it also brings with it new opportunities to assist Australian businesses to compete in an innovative world.
