The Minister for Vocational Education and Skills, the Hon. Luke Hartsuyker, has released a discussion paper inviting stakeholders to provide feedback on how to improve the assessment of students in vocational education.
Priority areas for investigation include:
- Approaches to strengthen the skills of VET trainers and assessors;
- Consideration of improved validation of assessment, including potential for greater industry involvement; and
- Options for tougher regulatory interventions.
Stakeholder consultations commence with the release of the discussion paper and will continue through to 11 March 2016.
